In the tradition of Abstract Expressionism, I create layered paintings alive with expression and movement.
My art has been shown in galleries and competitions across the country and is for sale.
I also produce commissioned works to accommodate a specific size or color scheme.
My work fits within three main styles:
Atmospheric Landscapes, Morphing Clouds of Linear Color and Abstracted Travels.

Atmospheric Landscapes
In the Atmospheric Landscape series, Tray builds surfaces that bear the traces of time and location.
Drawing on travels, the artist conveys a sense of place through multi-layered, scraped paint applied with plexiglass and
varying levels of pressure. Mountains, rain, water, and air are represented in the tone, color, and juxtaposition of the shapes.
Often pencil lines and bare canvas remain to remind the viewer of the fragility and struggle of nature.

Morphing Clouds of Linear Color
In his Morphing Clouds of Linear Color series, he experiments with the repeated mark creating a dynamic pattern.
Through a controlled manner, the acrylic paint is applied to the canvas, one color at a time, one layer at a time
with a spontaneous and energetic brushstroke that creates a soft a billowing effect like clouds changing their form in the wind.
